About the Finishing Operative (Rumbling) Role
As a Finishing Operative (Rumbling), you will be responsible for a variety of finishing and inspection operations, including:
- Operating barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment
- Preparing metallic surfaces for further processing, such as anodising and passivation
- Masking components to ensure bores, holes, and slots are free from abrasive media
- Undertaking inspection of parts
- Packing parts for internal transport and storage
- Interpreting part numbers, drawing issue numbers, relevant ADRs, process specifications, and finishes
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate for the Finishing Operative (Rumbling) role will have:
- A basic understanding of measuring equipment
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations related to hazardous substances
- A basic manufacturing or engineering background
