Job Description:

Data Protection Manager

Kingsley Napley LLP

Full time / permanent position – flexible applications always considered

A brand-new opportunity at Kingsley Napley (KN) for a Data Protection Manager to manage the firm’s data protection and information governance framework.

KN is entering a transformative era, and as Data Protection Manager you will play a key role in promoting data protection best practice across the business. Reporting to the firm’s DPO and working closely with the firm’s Information Security & Governance team, you will conduct information audits, risk assessments and vendor reviews within our information governance framework.

This role is dedicated to tackling our current and emerging challenges within a professional services & knowledge-based organisation – and KN is a growing and maturing business.

We’re looking for someone who loves what they do; who keeps their finger on the pulse with changes to data and AI regulation, and who is keen to make a difference in an incredibly diverse organisation.

We’re looking for a ‘completer/finisher’, someone who is curious and communicative, who enjoys building relationships with teams and who is excited about a brand-new opportunity to make their own.

Whilst the role naturally aligns itself to Governance, Risk & Compliance, IT, Information Security and Innovation, collaboration across various stakeholders and business services teams will be integral to the role’s success.

Extensive knowledge of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, along with AI regulation, is a must and we are open to background (although law firm, professional services experience would be beneficial)
