Job Description
A leading international law firm is looking to hire a Group Data Protection Manager in the London office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a data protection expert, supporting the senior DP professional, including acting as a deputy when required
- Keep track of and advise on global data protection laws (e.g., Cayman Data Protection Act, EU GDPR).
- Guide compliance with data protection laws across operations, including reviewing contracts, managing personal data breaches, conducting due diligence and responding to data subject requests
- Develop and maintain privacy policies, training programs and controls
- Support other departments, such as Information Security and Compliance, in integrating privacy-related measures
- Act as a data protection officer where needed and liaise with external stakeholders like regulators or auditors
- Inform senior management of significant data handling and compliance matters
- Collaborate on related areas like information security and data governance as required
This would suit a someone with 5+ years of Data Protection experience ideally in a professional services firm.
