Are you an experienced construction lawyer with a passion for clean energy? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Construction Senior Associate to join a dynamic and forward-thinking national practice, working at the forefront of the clean energy sector.
This is your chance to play a key role in a nationally recognised clean energy and infrastructure team – known for its collaborative culture, stellar client base, and involvement in complex, high-profile projects across the UK and Europe.
THE JOB
This role sits at the heart of a thriving national clean energy team, working closely with a trio of leading partners in Bristol, Leeds, and London. You’ll collaborate across geographies and disciplines, supported by a wider team of over 90 lawyers with expertise in real estate, corporate, finance, planning, environment, and disputes.
You will lead and support on a broad range of clean energy and construction matters, including:
- Drafting and negotiating EPC contracts, BESS/Solar Supply Agreements, O&Ms, LTSAs, and component warranties
- Advising on major clean energy developments, acquisitions, and disposals
- Working with clients across technologies such as battery storage (BESS), solar PV, onshore wind, hydro, energy-from-waste, hydrogen, biogas, EV charging, and district heating
- Engaging with developers, investors, manufacturers, and integrators involved in landmark renewable energy projects
- Whether you’re already working in the renewables space or are eager to transition into this fast-growing and future-facing sector, this team will give you the platform, support, and client access to thrive.
THE CANDIDATE
We’re keen to speak with lawyers who can demonstrate:
- At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in construction law, commercial projects, or infrastructure (non-contentious focus)
- Experience or a strong interest in the clean energy and renewables sector
- Familiarity with standard form contracts such as FIDIC, MF/1, or bespoke EPCs
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client communication skills
- A commercial, solution-oriented mindset and collaborative approach
