React Native Team Lead // Fully Remote (UK) // £70,000 – £90,000 DOE
Just landed – a brilliant new opportunity for a React Native Team Lead to join a forward-thinking SaaS business that’s scaling fast across the automotive tech space.
This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who’s either already leading teams or ready to take that next step up into a lead role – all while staying close to the code. You'll be shaping the direction of how this business adopts React Native across their growing product suite, working closely with engineering, product and design to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.
You'll be heading up a small squad of React Native devs (permanent, offshore and contract) and will play a big part in defining how this team operates and grows. Think strategy, tooling, quality standards, and hands-on delivery – all rolled into one.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a growing team of React Native developers
- Driving technical decisions and best practices across cross-platform mobile apps
- Taking ownership of coding standards, architecture decisions and CI/CD processes
- Collaborating closely with native mobile teams to align quality and security standards
- Contributing to agile ceremonies and helping shape well-groomed, deliverable work
- Playing a key role in testing strategy- tools like Detox, Maestro, and Jest are on the table
- Staying close to the code: building, refining and shipping top-tier mobile features
What They’re Looking For:
- Solid experience with React Native (3+ years) and modern JavaScript frameworks (5+ years)
- Proven track record in delivering robust mobile apps (security, scalability, connectivity, etc.)
- Experience working with modern testing tools and automation frameworks
- Comfortable working across both technical leadership and people management
- Good understanding of APIs (REST & GraphQL), Git, and branching strategies
- Frontend experience with CSS methodologies (BEM, SASS, etc.)
- Exposure to AWS or similar cloud environments is a nice bonus
- Great communicator, collaborative mindset, and someone who thrives in a team-first environment
