Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer – FMCG

We are currently working with a well-established, nationwide M&E client who are seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer based in Rotherham, to help maintain and improve the performance and reliability of its packaging operations.
This is a key position within a fast-paced FMCG environment and would suit an Electrical bias engineer who is electrically qualified, but also confident working with mechanical systems. You’ll be responsible for carrying out maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement on a range of packaging equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns on packaging machinery and associated equipment
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to restore production as quickly as possible
- Work collaboratively with fellow engineers and production teams to support smooth day-to-day operations
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, faults, and repairs carried out
- Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with health, safety, and quality standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Electrically biased with solid mechanical skills
- Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering (NVQ, HNC, City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Understanding of health and safety legislation and manufacturing best practices
