KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Demonstrable experience (2-3+ years’) working in consultative Sales within the Agriculture sector.
- Strong networks in the farming community, and able to sell and develop relationships with associated businesses – Land Agents, Agronomy Businesses, etc.
- Supportive of and passionate about regenerative practices in agriculture.
- Able to thrive in a small company environment, sometimes encompassing taking on varied responsibilities (e.g. contributing to marketing activities).
OVERVIEW:
This growing business with an international presence in the regenerative agriculture domain is dedicated to encouraging and incentivising more sustainable practices in agriculture, and providing technology that can support this.
Imperative to their growth is expanding their portfolio of farmers and farming businesses that are committed to rolling out regenerative practices now and for the long term – ultimately with the aim of helping farmers to operate more sustainably, and actually profit from this (via carbon credit generation).
A Business Development Manager with agriculture sector experience is therefore required to help them tap into more farming networks, by leveraging new and existing relationships with partners who can help them access that market – such as traders, merchants, cooperatives, etc.
That aside, ‘nice to haves’ could include experience in technology solutions in agriculture or sustainable farming… however, these are not prequisites, and simply an interest in these areas would be sufficient!
