We are working with a market-leading financial services organisation to hire a Senior Assistant Company Secretary. Joining a lean, growing team based across the UK, you will be in a senior role with a strategic and complex governance position assisting the Group Company Secretary.
In this role, you will be involved in the delivery of company secretarial and governance services. You will lead on the governance support to our subsidiaries, support the AGM, and support a broad range of other Board and Committee Governance matters.

About The Role
- Management of corporate governance and company secretarial matters for multiple Group entities, and ensuring statutory compliance.
- Collaborate with board and committee chairs and executive management
- Develop annual schedules and agendas, draft minutes, and oversee the effectiveness of board and committee processes
- Drafting resolutions and completing filings and annual returns with Companies House
- Management of certain Governance and Compliance sections of the AGM, working closely with the Group Company Secretary and other senior stakeholders on initial drafting.
- Support the delivery of corporate governance advice to the Board
- Facilitate the seamless operation of boards and committees, including meeting planning, agenda setting, minute taking, and logistical coordination.
- Monitor changes in corporate legislation and the financial services regulatory environment.
- Awareness and management of Risk across the Group Secretariat.
Role requirements
- CGI qualified/with relevant 5 years corporate governance and company secretary experience (ideal)
- Experience working in a regulated environment with a suitable understanding of FCA, PRA and other regulatory requirements
- Experience working with Senior Management, the board and key Stakeholders
- Experience working as part of a team
- Knowledge of governance best practice, relevant issues, statutory requirements and regulations, including horizon scanning
- Strong attention to detail.
