Events Marketing Manager

Location: London, UK

Contract length: 3-month FTC – May 12th–Aug 12th (some flexibility)

Overview:

TM Forum is the global industry member alliance for telco and tech companies with over 800 communication service providers, vendors, hyperscalers, consultancies and system integrators, including the world’s top ten CSPs and top three hyperscalers.

TM Forum’s marketing team set the brand strategy, create and deliver our go-to-market, support lines of business and events, and drive member value through engaging campaigns and communications.

Reporting into the VP Marketing, this short-term contract is for an experienced, hands-on Events Marketing Manager who can get started at pace to deliver global events. Though this is a fixed term contract, there is an opportunity to build a relationship with TM Forum and our members and work together on further projects and events.

What you’ll do:

  • Support on the delivery of our flagship event DTW Ignite – this requires getting stuck into an ongoing project and start meeting deliverables from Day 1.
  • Create and deliver compelling events marketing campaigns and collateral including delegate acquisition, sponsor acquisition, media & syndication, retention, and membership communications.
  • Project manage multiple events campaigns across various agencies and stakeholders.
  • Work with a range of stakeholders including events team, product marketing, membership marketing to create engaging communications and marketing assets.
  • Write insightful and accurate content that speaks to delegates, sponsors, and exhibitors.
  • Deliver an engaging and compelling online experience.
  • Support the sales teams with collateral, data, research, and insights.
  • Work with sponsors, speakers, and media partners to support their promotion and presence at our events.
  • Be creative and entrepreneurial with your strategies for reaching and communicating with your target audiences.

What you’ll need:

  • Be able to start immediately and be available for a short-term contract.
  • 5+ years events marketing or campaign experience, ideally within a B2B landscape.
  • Experience in marketing campaign management and execution with a proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and systems with preference for marketing automation (Marketo), Salesforce CRM, WordPress, and analytics, (Power BI, Google Analytics).
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe Suite or Canva.
  • Experience in project management including budget management.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills; written, verbal, presentation.
  • A “can-do” attitude, with a desire to extend existing skills and be a problem solver
